Vegetable oil

The following method of skin hydration is widespread among people: in the morning you should drink a tablespoon of any vegetable oil (or fish oil).

In general, it is better to use a nourishing cream in the morning, applying a foundation after it, and leave the moisturizing procedure for the evening.

Be sure to install a humidifier in the room where you spend the most time.

Vitamin preparations

With the onset of cold weather, dermatologists begin to advise taking a course of vitamins with collagen to help the skin not only from the outside, but also from the inside. If you can’t drink vitamins, lean on the following foods: kiwi, citrus fruits, wheat germ, brewer's yeast, cabbage and greens, legumes, seafood, egg yolk, liver, green apples, oily fish, beets.

“Sealing” moisture

It is best to apply moisturizers after showering while the skin is still wet. Thus, you kind of “seal” moisture in the skin, helping it to deal with dehydration in the future.

Moisturizing after hardening

It is better to moisturize the skin after “hardening” it with ice. Ice cubes can be bought at the store or prepared at home, pouring eucalyptus, calendula or chamomile infusion into ice molds. First, wipe your face with a cube of frozen broth, only after that apply a moisturizer.

Oily skin type

The topic of skin hydration in winter is especially relevant for representatives of oily skin type. They should carefully choose moisturizing cosmetics and apply nutritious creams and powder before going out into the cold.

Cucumber mask

Moisturizing masks should be done 1-2 times a week. The most common of them is cucumber. It moisturizes and refreshes the skin. It is enough to grate a cucumber on a grater and apply on the face.

Cream and cold

Do not apply moisturizers before going out into the cold, because part of the water contained in the moisturizer will begin to cool immediately as soon as you go out in the cold. This can lead to frostbite and even more skin irritation.

Water filter

Change water filters. The reason is that in winter the water is treated with a large number of disinfecting chemicals that can cause peeling and irritation of already exhausted skin. Wash your face only with purified water, without fail then applying a moisturizer.

Heavy drink

To moisturize the skin, not only from the outside, but also from the inside, drink more water - at least 7 glasses of pure water per day.

Coconut oil

Another wonderful moisturizer is coconut oil. It can be applied not only to the face, but also to the entire body. Coconut oil is rich in antioxidants and is a source of vitamin E.

How to make a moisturizing face cream

When I was preparing to write this article, I searched on the Internet what they write about this. And I found nothing but recipes for creams with eggs, brown and beeswax. Moreover, all recipes are copied from each other in a new way. The thing is that such articles are written by copywriters who do not understand the topic at all. And we will prepare a real cream from a real emulsifier, oils, water and do not even be afraid to add a preservative to it. After all, without a preservative, the cream will live a maximum of 2 days, even in the refrigerator.

Any cream consists of a fatty, aqueous and active phase. We can make it moisturizing by adding moisturizing assets to the active phase of the cream. To prepare the cream at home, we need:

  • vegetable oils
  • emulsifier
  • water
  • assets
  • preservative.

And also some equipment and tools: rubber gloves, a pharmacy mask, 2 bowls, cream scales (I bought mine on Aliexpress), a thermometer, a stick for stirring, in my case I also use a mini-whisk and a mini-mixer. We also need alcohol for processing tools and a jar of cream. Next, we will analyze in detail the components of our cream.

Greasy phase

Vegetable oils and an emulsifier enter this phase. In my recipe we will use the Olivem 1000 emulsifier and vegetable oils: argan, broccoli, black cumin, shea. I tried to combine the oils in this recipe according to the German technology for combining oils.

If you have not heard anything about this or are preparing the cream for the first time, you can take one argan or sesame oil in the fat phase. They will also produce a good cream, since their fatty acid composition is balanced.

But it is better when the mixture of oils is used in the cream, and it is correctly combined, taking into account the composition of all oils.

In this article I will not dwell on the combination of oils, but will focus on the moisturizing components of the cream.

Water phase

As the aqueous phase, we will use distilled water. Distilled water is needed, boiled water or filter water will not work. Such water can be bought at gas stations, in shops for the garden, sometimes in pharmacies.

Creams are also prepared on hydrolytes. But I read about such an opinion that when heated, hydrolytes lose their properties. I have not yet formed my opinion on this matter, so I cook the cream just in distilled water. Although I also tried on hydrolates.

Floral hydrolates can give the cream a pleasant aroma if you don’t aromatize it in any way.

But I definitely will not recommend cooking the cream on decoctions of any plants. Broth is a useful, but very short-lived product. It stays fresh for a maximum of 24 hours. Therefore, creams on decoctions will deteriorate quickly even with a preservative.

Active phase

We have come to the most important phase. If we get the foundation for a cream from oils, water and an emulsifier, then adding assets, we can give the cream additional beneficial properties: moisturizing, rejuvenating, matting and others. Our task today is to moisturize. Therefore, all assets will be moisturizing.

For this recipe, I will use aloe vera gel, a natural moisturizing factor, provitamin B5, vitamin E. Of course, there are many more moisturizing assets, I will give a short list of such cosmetic assets just below. But we cannot put them all in one cream. In the recipe, I have those assets that I have been actively using for a long time. In addition, they are all universal, also suitable for hair products: shampoos, balms and masks. Let's consider them in more detail.

Natural moisturizing factor (nuf)

This cosmetic asset is a whole complex of moisturizing compounds in one bottle. Experienced cremovars recommend the use of nuf in each cream. If we analyze the composition separately, then in the nufe there are: sodium lactate, sodium PCA, glycine, fructose, urea, niacinamide, inositol, sodium benzoate, lactic acid.

Nuf moisturizes the upper layers of the epidermis for a long time, maintains firmness, elasticity of the skin, helps the epidermis retain moisture inside. When using this asset, intensive hydration also occurs on the hair: the hair becomes smooth, softer, and easy to comb. If you are engaged in crewing, this asset must be in your arsenal of ingredients.

Aloe Vera Gel

This is an indispensable component of all my cosmetics, which contains the aqueous phase. I add aloe vera gel to all my shampoos and creams. I also use in pure form on burns, scratches. The gel has numerous positive properties for the skin, in addition to hydration:

  • Is an antiseptic
  • Includes vitamins and minerals
  • Relieves inflammation
  • Promotes healing
  • Helps offset moisture loss from the skin.
  • Soothes irritation and itching
  • Creates a protective film against environmental hazards
  • Excellent prevention of age spots

Provitamin B5

This asset soothes the skin, prevents its dehydration, makes the skin smooth and supple. Provitamin B5 is also useful for hair: restores, strengthens, promotes growth, makes hair shiny and smooth, without weighing it down. Products with provitamin B5 are suitable for sensitive skin, delicate areas, brittle damaged hair, split ends, sensitive scalp.

It is used as an antioxidant in oil products and as a cosmetic asset. We use vitamin E in cream as an asset. Therefore, its dosage will be greater than to protect the oils from rancidity. Vitamin E reduces cellular damage, stops the action of free radicals on the skin. Helps maintain skin elasticity and hydration, improves blood microcirculation.

List of wetting assets

You can also use:

  • Hyaluronic acid
  • Plant ceramides
  • Collagen
  • Fucoslim
  • Fucosert
  • Inulin
  • Phytokeratin
  • Rice Proteins
  • Silk Proteins
  • Squalene
  • Urea
  • Edelweiss extract
  • Mallow extract
  • Cherry Blossom Extract
  • White Water Lily Extract
  • Orchid extract
  • Cucumber extract

Here I use a preservative cosguard. It is a synthetic preservative, but it is absolutely safe for health and allowed in natural cosmetics. I love the fact that it is compatible with all cosmetic ingredients. You can not say about all-natural preservatives. I only make cream for myself, so it’s not practical for me to buy different types of preservatives for different recipes. If you have any other preservative, and it is compatible with the components of our recipe today, you can use it. Just follow the dosage that the manufacturer offers - it may differ from mine.

DIY Moisturizing Face Cream - Complete Recipe

People often ask what kind of interest they are and why it is impossible to write a recipe in grams. You can write in grams, but then those who need a different grammar will not be able to cook the cream according to this recipe. Interest is like a general scheme, they can be converted to any number of grams that you need. If you want 100 grams of cream, then the numbers will remain the same, if 50 grams of cream, then divide everything into two. Of course, you can calculate the recipe for 30 grams of cream, if you know the mathematics of grade 6, the theme of proportion)).

Cooking cream at home - step by step technology

We begin to make a moisturizing face cream with our own hands. Here is a step-by-step instruction:

  1. We air the room in which we will cook, wipe and disinfect the surface. We put on rubber gloves, a mask on the face. This is to avoid getting germs in our cosmetic product. We process all tools and containers with alcohol.
  2. Now we are starting to make a cream. In one bowl you need to measure the oil and emulsifier with olive 1000.
  3. We measure distilled water into another bowl.
  4. Now these 2 bowls need to be heated in a water bath so that the oils and emulsifier melt and the water heats up. To do this, I pour water into the pan, put 2 bowls there and turn on a slow fire.
  5. The temperature in both bowls should be the same, namely about 70 degrees. To measure the temperature it is convenient to use an infrared non-contact thermometer.
  6. When we have reached the same temperature of both phases, we can begin to mix them. Take a bowl with a fatty phase and pour into a bowl of water. With olive, you can do the opposite (and, by the way, more convenient): pour water into a bowl with oils and an emulsifier. At the very beginning, you can mix with a mini-mixer to get an emulsion faster. And then use the mini broom.
  7. You should get a smooth, homogeneous emulsion. This means that our cream has turned out, and the foundation is ready.
  8. Continue to mix with a mini whisk until the cream base cools down. It is necessary to bring the temperature to 40 degrees. Only in this case can assets be entered.
  9. When we are convinced that the base has cooled down, we begin to introduce assets. We introduce aloe vera gel, mix well.
  10. Add vitamin E and mix everything again. It is important that each asset is fully embedded in the emulsion.
  11. We introduce provitamin B5, mix.
  12. We introduce a preservative. We mix everything.
  13. The cream is ready. We shift into a jar, preferably airless.

Where to store home-made cream

Do-it-yourself cream is best stored in the refrigerator door. Therefore, you do not need to do a lot of cream at a time. It can be stored for 1-2 months. For example, 30 ml of cream for one month is enough for me if I use it in the morning and in the evening. Therefore, I always prepare myself such a volume of cream.

I keep the cream in the refrigerator. I have to run to the refrigerator, then return the cream back, but I'm used to it. There is a way out: a mini-fridge, which can be installed in the bathroom if there is space there).

It also affects the shelf life in which jar you store the cream. I love airless packaging with a dispenser. So you do not add bacteria to the cream.

So, at home, you can prepare a moisturizing face cream with your own hands. You just need to stock up on the ingredients.

But do not hope that one cream will solve our problems with dry skin. It is necessary to approach the issue comprehensively: also monitor nutrition, drink more water, do exercises, do moisturizing face masks, moisturize the air in the apartment. And the cream will become one of the assistants.

I wish you find your perfect cream recipe that suits your skin. After all, when a self-made cream completely satisfies you, you can finally stop searching for the best cream.

Do you make yourself moisturizers?

How to make a foundation for homemade cream

Home moisturizers are prepared according to approximately the same algorithm. The proportions can vary in it, additional ingredients can be added to it, but the basic idea remains.

  • The main components of the cream are an oil base, emulsifier and basic liquid. The base is prepared using lanolin, glycerin and vegetable oils. An emulsifier is needed in order for the components of the agent to interact and the finished product acquire a creamy consistency. Do not use tap water as a cosmetic product liquid. Some recipes recommend the use of mineral water, some distilled, while others are based on herbal decoctions or even fresh juices. And this is the best option for a moisturizer.

  • Additional ingredients are essential oils and vitamins. They are added at the end of the preparation of the cream. Such components give the finished product healing properties and enhance the moisturizing effect.
  • What should be the ratio of all components? Prepare two parts of water for one part of the base. Emulsifier should be slightly, 2 percent of the total volume. Additional ingredients are added in the amount of a few drops.

The algorithm for creating a cosmetic product itself is as follows:

  1. We mix the components of the base and heat them in a water bath. Withstand temperatures not exceeding 40 degrees, otherwise the cream can be digested, and it will not work.
  2. When the desired temperature is almost reached, an emulsifier is added to the mixture, and then a liquid. 2 more minutes The product must be held on fire, then removed.
  3. We cool the product (this is done exclusively at room temperature), we introduce additional ingredients. After the tool you need to beat with a blender. Homemade cream is ready.

Adding certain ingredients to such a base, you can give the cream the properties you need. We will analyze how moisturizing varieties of cosmetics are prepared.

Cream with Olive Oil

This product will give not only hydration, but also nutrition, because olive oil has universal care properties.

For the basics, stock these ingredients:

  • lanolin - 3 tsp.,
  • beeswax - 3 tsp.,
  • glycerin - 2 tsp.,
  • olive oil - 4 tbsp. l

As an emulsifier, use sodium tetraborate, whose other name is borax. You can buy the product at the pharmacy.

Heat lanolin, oil and wax in a separate bowl. Remember that you do not need to overexpose the mixture and a temperature of 40 degrees will be enough. Heat water (distilled, 10 tbsp.), Glycerin and sodium tetraborate separately. Keep the mixture on fire until the borax becomes liquid. Then gradually introduce the second mixture into the first, constantly stirring the product with a wooden spatula. After two minutes, remove from heat and let thicken.

Cream with linden honey

You can use this product as a caring mask, and you can use it as a night cream. The result of regular use will be skin nutrition, moisturizing and a healthy complexion.

The basis of linden cream is prepared on the following ingredients:

  • lanolin - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • linden honey - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • starch - 1 tsp.,
  • olive oil - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • glycerin - 1 tbsp. l

Beeswax will serve as an emulsifier (take 2 g), and pink water will be a solvent. Last add in the amount of 8 tbsp. l

Melt the ingredients of the base, but first use everything but starch. When the mixture has warmed to the required temperature, add starch while stirring. Then add wax and rose water. After a minute, remove the product from the fire. It is almost ready, it remains only to cool it.

Gelatin Cream for Oily Skin

This recipe uses slightly different ingredients. This is due to the features of oily sheen-prone skin. Prepared according to such a recipe, the product will mattify the skin, moisturize and nourish.

Take for the basics:

  • gelatin - 6 g (powder),
  • distilled water (half a glass, about 100 ml.),
  • glycerin - 70 g
  • natural honey - 50 g.

As an additional component, we use salicylic acid - 1 gram. It removes oily sheen from the skin and normalizes the functioning of the sebaceous glands.

Before preparing the base, fill the gelatin with water and leave it to swell. 40 minutes will pass, and it will be possible to proceed further. We put gelatin on the fire and introduce honey and glycerin into it. When the product is almost ready, add an additional component - salicylic acid. After cooling, whip the cream. The product is ready.

Cream with essential oils for aging skin

This tool is prepared according to a scheme different from that described previously. We will not cook the base, but immediately use the finished cream. It can be any product, even designed for children's skin. You can use expensive anti-age products to implement the recipe.

The ingredients of this cosmetic composition are as follows:

  • cream - 50 ml
  • linseed oil (replace if necessary with olive) - 1 tsp.,
  • essential oils - 10 drops.

We will dwell on the last ingredient separately. You can use essential oil alone, or you can take 2-3 of your choice. For aging skin, rose oil, thyme, sage and orange oils are suitable.

Put the cream in a glass jar, and then introduce the main oil into it, and then additional ones. Shuffle the makeup. Keep it in the refrigerator.

As you can see, this recipe is extremely simple, so it will not take you much time.

Homemade cream mask for dry skin type

You can use this product as a cream, or you can use it as a mask, applying a thick layer on the skin and leaving it for 40 minutes. The recipe also does not require thermal preparation of the base.

The list of ingredients is as follows:

  • butter - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • persimmon (use the pulp of the fruit, if desired, replace the pulp of the pear) - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • natural honey - 1 tsp.,
  • 1 egg yolk.

Preheat honey, but if this product is liquid, use it in its original form. Mix and whisk the ingredients with a mixer. The cream is ready. Keep it in the cold, but rather use it fresh.

Cucumber Cream

Cucumber juice not only moisturizes, but also whitens the skin, so when choosing this recipe, take into account this property of the vegetable.

For the basics, take:

Combine the products and put on fire. Prepare the cucumber puree. To do this, grind peeled vegetable. Use 3 tbsp. l the resulting mass - enter it into the base for the cream. Then add mineral water (2 tbsp. L.) And simmer for 30 minutes with constant stirring. When the mixture has cooled, whisk it.

Cream with jojoba oil

Such a home product has a beneficial effect on the condition of dry skin, prone to redness and peeling. Defects are eliminated, and the person acquires a well-groomed appearance with regular use of the product.

The ingredients for the implementation of the recipe take these:

  • water - half a glass (water should be purified, do not take it immediately from the tap),
  • jojoba oil - 5 tbsp. l.,
  • aloe juice - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • Vitamin E - 10 capsules (open them with scissors when adding vitamin to the base),
  • beeswax - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • rose oil - 5 drops.

Boil water. Add wax, jojoba oil to it and mix until the wax is completely dissolved. Enter the remaining ingredients one at a time with constant stirring. Cool the product.

Cream with iris oil

If you find iris oil in cosmetic stores or pharmacies, be sure to get one. On its basis, you can prepare a wonderful moisturizing cream with your own hands.

In equal proportions, mix iris oil with aloe juice. For the future such a tool is not procured, it is used immediately. Use a cosmetic product before bedtime and it will moisturize your skin and even out its color.

Sour cream

Such a tool is suitable for girls with dry skin.

The ingredients for the preparation of cosmetic composition take the following:

  • homemade sour cream - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp.,
  • cucumber flesh (mashed) - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • rose water - 4 tsp.,
  • Vitamin E - 2 capsules
  • essential oil - 2 drops,
  • 1 egg yolk.

Add lemon juice, cucumber and pre-mixed yolk to the sour cream. Shuffle. Introduce pink water into the future cream. After that add additional components - vitamin E (do not forget to open the capsules) and essential oil. Choose any ether, because in this amount in this recipe it is present for flavoring.

Beat the product and put it in the cold. Use the prepared product for a week.

Homemade cream may not work. This applies to those recipes for which the base is cooked. If this happens to you, do not despair, but try again. A homemade cosmetic product will not disappoint you and will be a good alternative to a store face cream.

Rose water: what is it?

Rose water is a by-product in the production of essential oils; it looks like a clear or slightly cloudy liquid with a characteristic smell of a rose. The liquid contains water-soluble particles of rose oil. The product has all the properties of ether, but is easily tolerated even by sensitive skin.

A bit of history

Scented, floral waters have a long history. They began to make them in Ancient Egypt, the Persians (Arabs) improved the technology by making a special device: an alambic made of copper, which allowed to receive all the valuable from plants, their flowers and fruits.

Arabs could not pass by a beautiful flower with a bewitching aroma and began to use it to produce essential oil, which was used in cosmetology and medicine. Oil was obtained in the process of distillation of rose petals: they were poured with purified water from a source and heated. Upon cooling, the steam was separated into oil and colorless, fragrant rose water.

Ancient Romans and Persians used hydrolyte roses to irrigate the face and body in hot weather; he helped Cleopatra keep the skin of the body supple. The healing properties of rose water are described by Hippocrates and Avicenna. Europeans used it as a natural antidepressant: inhaling vapors and bathing with a fragrant liquid lifted the mood. In the Middle Ages, it was one of the important goods in trade between east and west, the main areas of its production were in modern Iran, India and China.

The range of applications of rose water is extensive: cosmetology, medicine and even cooking.

Useful properties and application in cosmetology

Many people call rose water “living”, the hydrolat received such an epithet quite deservedly, since no similar remedy can be compared with it in terms of effectiveness.

The benefits of rose water for the skin:

  • accelerates the regeneration process, heals wounds,
  • moisturizes
  • penetrates the capillaries, strengthens their walls,
  • tightens pores
  • relieves irritation, soothes
  • destroys bacteria on the surface of the skin,
  • neutralizes the effects of sunlight
  • due to the large amount of vitamin E it slows down the aging process,
  • tannins in the hydrolyte make the skin dull.

The unique property of flower water from roses to maintain their effect for a long time without preservatives allows it to be used for all types of facial skin. It is equally effective in the appearance of teenage acne and dryness, and with wrinkles that occur after 30.

Where to get rose water?

Organic cosmetics is becoming more and more popular every year, therefore, if earlier it was problematic to buy rose water, today it can be found in pharmacies, supermarkets, online stores and oriental shops.

The popularity of rose water has led some manufacturers, under the guise of natural hydrolyte (in which there can be no preservatives), to offer essential oil dissolved in water or alcohol, and in the worst case, ordinary flavored water.

In order not to run into a fake, rose water must be purchased at a pharmacy or specialty store. When buying, you need to pay attention to several points:

  1. Color. Natural rose hydrolyte is transparent, clouding and sedimentation are possible. The pink shade of the product should not be.
  2. Smell. Should not be saturated.
  3. The composition should only contain distillate of roses, the inclusion of alcohol is permissible (no more than 5%). If the list contains more than 2 components, it is better to refuse the purchase.

It is not difficult to get a really high-quality product; every woman can do this without complicated devices. The most important thing is to choose the right roses.

In the classic recipe, the raw materials for rose water are the petals of large blooming roses, collected before dawn. It was at this time that the active substances were most concentrated in the flowers.

Today in any store you can buy roses of any variety and size, but they are not suitable. Their petals absorb all the chemicals used in the cultivation, so they will do more harm than good. It is better to use roses (preferably red varieties) from your own dacha or an ordinary rosehip.

There are several ways to make rose water with your own hands.

The easiest way is to pour clean rose petals in a thermos and pour boiling water (1 to 2 ratio). After 8-12 hours, strain, squeeze.

The second method is somewhat more difficult to implement, but it is closest to the classical one and the resulting hydrolyte will have more useful properties. To make rose water you will need:

  • large pan with a thick bottom,
  • petals
  • water (ideally spring water, but regular purified water is also suitable),
  • ice,
  • ceramic bowl or small metal bowl,
  • brick or stable metal box.

  • put a support in the center of the pan (brick, inverted container), place a bowl on it,
  • fill in a thick layer of petals, fill with water, the liquid should cover them 1 cm,
  • cover the pan with an inverted lid and turn on the stove,
  • After boiling, reduce the heat to a minimum and pour ice on the lid.

Chilled steam will drain into the bowl, this is pink water. As the ice melts, it must be replaced with a new one; manipulations must be continued for 20-30 minutes. Pour the cooled liquid into sterile glass containers.

Features of use for the face

Rose water can be used in its pure form as an independent tool, as well as as the basis for masks or enrich it with ready-made cosmetics.

Rose Hydrolate is suitable for cleansing all skin types, it regulates the function of the sebaceous glands, moisturizes the dry epidermis and gives a dull to greasy.

Aromatic liquid can be used:

  • for freshness of the face and body in the heat: pour into a bottle with a spray and spray from a distance of 30-50 cm on the skin,
  • in case of irritation, inflammation in the form of lotions,
  • instead of tonic in the morning and before bedtime: moisten a cotton pad and wipe your face,
  • as a remedy for eye fatigue: moisten the tissue and apply to the eyelids for 20-25 minutes. This method eliminates puffiness and dark circles,
  • for cultivation of cosmetic clay, sea mud (hydrolyte will increase efficiency).

Rose water will eliminate fatigue and cheer up if you pour 200-300 ml into the bath, compresses with this liquid will soothe a headache, it can be used to rinse with diseases of the oral cavity in children and adults. Hydrolat will make hair silky and remove dandruff if added to rinse water.

Products containing rose water are produced by many cosmetic companies. These are lotions for face and body, tonics, masks, face creams and sunscreens. Cosmetics are very popular due to their versatility and gentle effect on the skin.

  • “Valley of Roses” from the Ukrainian company “Kingdom of Aromas”,
  • pink water from Lebanon House of Orient,
  • Hydrolat Meela Meelo, Germany,
  • face tonic "Siberian Rose", Russia,
  • series for hair care "Bulgarian Rose", Bulgaria,
  • funds for aging skin with pink water from Botanicus, Czech Republic.

Almost all funds can be attributed to the middle price category, but there are also elite ones.

Beauty salons offer professional masks and body wraps with rose water. Such procedures restore skin elasticity and healthy color.

Home use

Rose water is used by women for home skin care. On its basis, you can prepare tools that can solve any problem.

Rose Hydrolate is an excellent tool for toning the skin, it will remove impurities from the pores, moisturize and prepare for subsequent care. Fragrant water can be used in pure form, or prepare lotions on its basis:

2 teaspoons of fresh honey are dissolved in 100 ml of rose water, 30 ml of lemon juice and 60 ml of alcohol are added (you can use vodka or calendula tincture). The resulting solution is stored in the refrigerator, used before bedtime, after shaking.

To tone the skin, you can use ice made from pure or diluted rose water.

Lotions with pink water will get rid of circles and bags under the eyes.

Using it, you can prepare effective masks for any skin type:

  1. Nourishing for dry skin: knead half a very ripe banana, add cream (20 ml) and 50 ml of rose water to the puree.
  2. Cleansing for oily consists of only 2 ingredients: green clay and rose water.
  3. For pigmented. To a tablespoon of fresh cottage cheese add the same pulp of cucumber and 50 ml of rose water. Beat the mass in a blender or mash with a spoon and apply to the skin.
  4. Firming for mature epidermis. Ingredients: almonds (8-10 grains), honey (half a teaspoon), rose water (1-1.5 tablespoons). Dry the nuts in the oven, grind in a blender. Combine the resulting powder with honey and hydrolyte.

Masks are applied to clean, better steamed skin for 15-30 minutes, washed off with warm water and a regular cream or serum is applied to fix the effect.

Rose water can be added to cosmetics for daily care. Cream mixed with hydrolyte will have a more delicate texture and rich composition.

However, you can prepare a cream with rose water yourself:

  1. Moisturizing for dry or aging skin.

Ingredients: rose hydrolyte and olive oil (30 ml each), glycerin and natural beeswax (10 ml each). Carefully introduce warm glycerin, oil and aromatic water into the wax melted in a water bath, boil for 30-40 minutes, not forgetting to stir. At the end of cooking, beat with a wooden spatula and transfer to a non-metallic container.

  1. Cleansing for problem skin.

Components of the product: any baby skin care oil (50 ml), rose water (75 ml), emulsifying and beeswax (15-20 grams each), borax (a quarter of a teaspoon). Melt the wax in a water bath and add oil.

In a separate container, dissolve the borax in hot clean water, pour into an oil base, add hydrolyte, bring to a boil. Remove from heat and carefully beat with a non-metallic spatula until a thick white mass is formed. The tool can be enriched with essential oils: roses, tea tree, shea.

Homemade creams should be stored in the refrigerator, taking out immediately before use. The necessary portion should be taken with a spatula made of glass or plastic, or with a cotton swab.

The real action of rose water: a review

I have very problematic skin: oily, but at the same time sensitive, a slight wind provokes irritation and crusting. Any, even very light cream creates a sticky film and makes the face glossy.

I read reviews about rose water and decided to try, and suddenly it will do. I bought an elixir in a cosmetics store, there were several bottles, but I opted for a bottle with a spray from Lavena (Bulgaria).

Rose water is an absolutely clear liquid, its aroma reminded me of the cosmetics my mother used.

The spray is conveniently applied, quickly absorbed and does not leave even a hint of oily sheen, a pleasant aroma lasts for several hours. After 3 days, the skin began to change, it became very oily to the touch, inflammation decreased, and after 2 weeks it completely disappeared.

Rose water came in handy on vacation, it soothed the skin perfectly after the beach, the tan on the face turned out to be even.

Rose water is suitable for daily care, regardless of age and condition of the skin in a clean, diluted form or as an ingredient in masks, lotion creams. Rose hydrolate is in the assortment of many cosmetic companies, and lovers of all natural can make it themselves.
