Anyone who has ever seen Hitchcock's famous film Birds may feel a little uncomfortable in the society of sharp beaks and razor claws. However, an ostrich attack is more reminiscent of the times of the Jurassic Park. Just like the velociraptors from this film, ostriches are fast - they can reach speeds of up to 72 km / h - and on each paw they have a sharp claw that they can very badly damage the human body in just one hit. True, unlike velociraptors, the ostrich reaches a height of about 1.5 m and weighs about 160 kg.
The best defense? Keep your distance from the ostrich at a distance of 45-90 m. If, however, you come across one of these birds face to face, follow our tips.
