I am studying as a fashion designer, the book is interesting. Read in one go. there is a lot of information not only on building a figure in different positions, but also on building different types of clothes, hats. Examples of different approaches are shown in the illustration by different famous designers. I ordered it for 900 r, however, but in a couple of weeks this book turned out to be for 650 r. So look at the holidays - Black Friday, Mother's Day, etc. there are often promotions.)))

For beginner designers, freshmen fashion designers - a great book. I think if I caught this book in my first year, I would be delighted. Although, to be honest for the workshop, I would rather advise Lumis's book "The Art of Drawing" than this book. For me, as a designer - a fashion designer with a diploma - this book is a complete disappointment and the money thrown away. For a person who is just learning, perhaps this book will be interesting and useful.

I bought 10 years for my daughter. A bit complicated, but interesting.

I liked the book too! I don’t know how it suits professionals, but the material in it is quite clear. He won’t teach you how to draw, but if you already know how to do it, he will help orient your knowledge towards the fashion sphere.

Print quality is good. A4 format, soft cover. Suitable for a gift to someone "their own", interested in the subject.

The previous reviewer, apparently, a noble and experienced draftsman, which cannot but arouse bouts of uncontrolled envy in me, the beginning crook, :) So for me (just because of the insignificance of skills, obviously) the book turned out to be very useful.

The structure of the book is as follows: first there are interviews with fashion designers, they all answer the same questions about sketching (if anyone cares, then there is a list of characters in the photo content).

Next is the most voluminous and most valuable section of the Basics of Drawing. It starts with a human (or rather, a female) figure, individual parts of the body, poses. Next - a variety of clothing items. The painting technique proposed by the authors is very far from academic - and this is a separate great charm, in my opinion. Ease of development, technological use in modeling, visualization - this is how I would formulate the essence of the author’s idea. All educational drawings are made as if in pencil, but in the introductory part the authors talk about different manners and encourage them to try them.

Well, the last short section is modeling clothes. It is about how to compile collections and how to try to sell yourself in the fashion industry.

Large format book, which is convenient for viewing details. Thick white rough paper. Stylish layout. Yes, not cheap, but quite justified, in my opinion.

I am enclosing a photo of the content and a couple of pages about drawing figures, as the ones that carried me the most.
